It’s not so easy to become a shrimp fisher. After all, each profession has its own do’s and don’ts.

After following a two-year training course with an accredited horseback fisher, candidates can take the theory and practical tests.

The theory test is held at the NAVIGO National Fishing Museum, where the horseback fishers are given a talk about the history of the tradition.

The practical test is assessed by a jury of accredited horseback fishers.

Did you know that… five horseback fishers have completed their training since this course was introduced in 2013?
