The NAVIGO Fisheries Museum is all about the fishermen from our region and their rich, fascinating past. Miraculous catches during the Second World War, 12-year-old boys risking their lives as Icelandic sailors, the sometimes hard and lonely life of fisherwomen, but also about beachcombing and the challenges of fishing today. There is, obviously, also sperm whale Valentijn, NAVIGO's new eye-catcher.

You like to follow a guided visit but you are not in a group? You can join a guided tour in Dutch or French. See the full page for all details and dates.

The NAVIGO Fisheries Museum is the perfect place for families. Children and adults love the North Sea aquariums, the cozy fisherman’s house, and the big wooden fishing boat OD 1. Martha.

But did you know that kids can also learn what it's like at fishing school? Or what life was like at home when dad was out at sea?
